Effective Ministry Program - a Service to Gospel Artists

WHAT IS THE EFFECTIVE MINISTRY PROGRAM?

  • It is a detailed evaluation of an artist’s ministry performance.
  • It is a voluntary and non-publicized evaluation between only the artist and the Effective Ministry Reviewer.
  • It will recognize strengths in the performance.
  • It will provide suggestions and recommendations to enhance future performances.
  • It will address not only the musical side of the performance but also will include non-singing, visual, and technical aspects.
  • The purpose of the program is to enhance the effectiveness of IGMA artist ministries.

DETAILS:
  • All Reviewers will be highly experienced artists who receive training in the program prior to doing any reviews.
  • Reviews must be requested by artists; they will not be done without being requested. Requesting a review is completely voluntary.
  • The Reviews will be provided only to the artists themselves.
  • There will be no follow-up by the Reviewer unless requested by the artist.
  • The availability of this program will be advertised to IGMA artists as an optional service, free of charge to IGMA members.
  • Any complaints about Reviews or Reviewers can be directed to the head of the Program or the IGMA Board.
  •
NOTE:  A proto-type of this program was field tested in late 2018 at a performance of Blessed Truth Quartet. The quartet's manager, Jim Thompson, valued the feedback from this program and recommended to the IGMA State Board that this program be adopted for implementation and made available for all IGMA artists. Once official Reviewers are trained, more information will be made available through IGMA News or IGMA Hap'nins. For more information on this new program, contact [email protected].
