IGMA's Mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music ministries, encouraging fellowship, support, networking, development (both spiritual and artistic), and to exalt the name of Jesus Christ.
IGMA is an association of performing artists and supporters of Gospel Music. Our members include not only quartets, trios, duos, and solo artists, but also instrumentals, sound technicians, and especially supporters, fans, and anyone who believes in and wishes to support our mission. Nancy G. Criss, 55, of Muncie, passed away at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 25, 2021.She was born on Wednesday, September 29, 1965, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Arthur and Joy Harrell. She met James Criss through online dating in 2006, and they married March 10, 2007. Nancy received an Associate Degree in Business, and worked in Sales for Walgreens.
Nancy attended University Christian Church with James, and they worshipped and served together. She shined in church but didn’t boast. She enjoyed working behind the scenes, and helped with her husband’s music ministry. Nancy loved to cook and compete with Jim in the kitchen. She enjoyed birds and had four bird feeders. Nancy and Jim enjoyed motorcycle riding in the five-state area. Nancy was also involved heavily in Operation Christmas Child, and that was her passion. Nancy is survived by her husband, James; a daughter, Ashley Simpson (husband, Gary); brothers, Richard Harrell (wife, Julie, and daughter, Karla Harrell) of Pikeville, Tennessee, and Keith Etherington; sisters, Debbie Miller (husband, Ron), Linda Hill, and Michelle Pitcher; grandchildren, Kayle, Quinn, and Zane Simpson; and her dogs, Anna, Re-Re, and Red. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Joy Harrell; a granddaughter, Abigail Lynn Shepler; and her dog, Pete. Memorial contributions may be given to Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, North Carolina 28607. You may also give online at samaritanspurse.org. Services have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
