Seminars & Speaker Information

“Good Enough for Gospel” - a Masterclass
by Soul'd Out Quartet - Saturday only

In this Master Class, Soul’d Out Quartet will discuss the importance of striving for excellence in Christian music and the reasons that “good enough” isn’t really good enough.  Soul’d Out will provide helpful tips for increasing effectiveness in ministry through music and facing the daunting task of reaching a world in a time of performance and production excellence.
Songwriting
By Matt Rankin, Soul'd Out Quartet - Saturday Only

Anyone with a kindergarten education can rhyme words. To be a song writer takes a life time of honing the skill that God has given you. In this song writing session we will take a look at lyrics of some great songs, learn tricks of the trade, as well as discuss the do’s and dont’s of song writing. Feel free to bring a song you’ve been working on to be examined. Be ready to have fun and hopefully become a better song writer.
How to Share Your Faith
by John King - Friday and Saturday

Music as Evangelism - Your music can be a tool for not only worship but also for evangelism. What does it mean to be an ambassador for Christ?  How can you minister to those you meet at a concert?  Join us to learn helpful principles for sharing your faith both on stage and off.  The class will be presented by John King, a retired high school teacher with an MA degree in Christian Apologetics.
How to Use EQ and FX
by Eric Shaw - Friday and. Saturday

Are you being tasked with setting sound for your concert? If so, then your job is to make the presentation SOUND GREAT! Today’s technology allows you to shape what comes into your system before it exits through your speakers. There are several options available on your mixing board. That can be good OR bad, depending on how those options are used!  Come visit me at “How To Use EQ and FX”  and let’s exchange ideas.  TOGETHER WE CAN ALL BECOME BETTER!
How to Make a Music Video
by Westward Road - Friday Only

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million. What is the image your ministry would like to portray? Learn different ways to market your ministry to pastors, promoters and fans. Whether you are creating images, social media posts, or videos, this seminar is for you. What is the value in creating a music video? Can it help promote your ministry? Can it help in booking dates? Learn how to create a professional quality music video on a shoe string budget. What kind of video fits my need? What camera should I use? What about lighting? What software should I use to edit my video? You don't need to spend a fortune to create the image that will elevate your ministry. All you need is a little research and a touch of creativity.
